On March 5, 2020, the former Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte released a PMD (Prime Ministerial Decree) in which it was announced the beginning of the lockdown, that lasted three months.

During this span of time, everyone was obliged to stay at home, causing lots of problems, like mental issues for a great number of people, especially the teenagers, forced to stay entire days closed in their home with all their family, without the possibility to hang out with friends or to go to school and socialize. In fact, citizens could only leave their homes for food and medical necessities and commute to work if they weren’t able to complete it remotely; they couldn’t even visit their relatives!

Lots of high-school or university students think that this situation can be psychologically overwhelming, especially for the ones who are used to staying out all day, on a daily basis. The negative impact of the confinement was saadly confirmed by the number of people who have tried to commit suicide for desperation, and a similar amount has entered into depression and the applications for  psychological counselling have increased.
